Q: What are the hours of FNO?

A: The official hours are 6-11 PM on September 8th 2011, but if you would like to host events at your store before or after that time period on September 8th you are more than welcome to. However, FNO will focus only on events between 6-11 PM.

Q: Where does most of Fashion’s Night Out take place?

A: FNO takes place at retailer branches inside London W1.

Q: Can the FNO team provide models, celebrities, food or beverages for my store event?

A: Though we would love to supply you with everything your heart desires for this big night, we have to remind you that each store is entirely responsible for its own programme and its highlights.

Q: Can I host a FNO-related event that is not open to the public during FNO hours?

A: You are fine to offer any incentives you like, however, the goal of this initiative is to welcome the public and celebrate fashion, so we encourage you to make your event open to the public. If you decide otherwise, and your event is not open to the public, you may not name it a FNO event, and FNO will not be able to promote your event on our Web site or in our press coverage.

Q: Can I offer discounts as incentives to shoppers?

A: The goal of Fashion's Night Out is to celebrate and support the fashion and retail industries with full-price shopping. We encourage you to incentivize your customers with the creativity of your event. If you do, however, choose to discount your merchandise, the FNO team will not promote it through any of its communication channels.

Q: How do I purchase the official FNO collection (short-sleeved T-shirt) to sell in my store?

A: The official FNO Collection wholesale deadline is July 18th 2011.

Q: Can I sell the official FNO collection online?

A: Absolutely! E-mail fashionsnightout@condenast.co.uk with any questions.

Q: When can I begin selling my FNO collection online and/or at my store?

A: As soon you receive your order! When you sell the FNO Collection - is at your discretion.

Q: Where will the proceeds from the sales of the FNO Collection go?

PRESS

Q: How do I get my event promoted in the press?

A: Unfortunately we cannot give you an exact strategy for attracting press, but we can let you in on a few tips and tricks from retailers last year who got a lot of coverage:

- Be as creative as possible! Press will be interested in the most creative events because those are the most interesting to readers.
- The more interactive your event is, the better. Get customers involved! Let them design a product at your store or customize a tote or a pair of jeans.
- After August 17, reach out to your media and fashion contacts to describe your event so that the press knows what you are doing.
- Make sure to clearly describe what you are planning for your event in the space provided on the Retailer Registration page, and to check all the tags that apply. You'll want shoppers to know all that is going on at your store.
- Use social media (Facebook, Twitter), E-mail, or invitations to get the word out that shoppers should visit your store.

Q: Can I dedicate my store windows to FNO?

A: Yes, please! We would be delighted if you did and encourage you to put window displays up by September 1st for the following reasons:

-To generate buzz and excitement about your participation in this year's FNO
-To increase the possibility of press coverage
-For the opportunity to have your FNO window featured on our Facebook and/or Twitter pages. Who knows, if it is truly special you may even see it on vogue.com. If you would like to submit your windows for consideration, please include a jpeg of the windows, photo credit, name of your store, and address with cross streets in your E-mail to fashionsnightout@condenast.co.uk, subject “FNO WINDOW SUBMISSION”.
